Brought to You by the Letters PHP and MySQL

Ho hum. Kinda gloomy today in SF, and I have a mood to match.

One thing that is pretty cool is that I finally figured out the PHP/MySQL thing, at least enough so that my show list is dynamically built on the server-side, then pooped out for you to read. I know, it looks exactly the same to you, but to me it's a whole other can of worms, and at least you can rest assured that there will never be outdated shows sitting over there. I'd like to get it set up so that my readers can add shows to the list via an HTML form, similar to my comments window, but that's a tad more complicated.

Wow. Quite the show at the Great American Music Hall on 6/3.

Should be pretty cool, yeah. I've never seen either !!! or Pines of Nowhere, so I'm looking forward to that.

!!! will have you laughing in all the best ways possible. They will make you want to play funk music, even if you've never thought about it before. Onstage, they're just impossible to ignore. Saw 'em in a basement in D.C. last year, and later that week I bought a used LP by Chic, just because I wanted to compare !!!'s basslines to Nile Rodgers'. It's a straight cop, yo, but name any other indie outfit that's even trying that schitt.
