Craig Kilborn, your late-night indie rock HQ, plays host tonight to Saves the Day, and Damon Atkinson'll be on the drums. Probably not very timely of me to be posting this — I think it already played on the East Coast.
Been, like, extra busy and stuff. I might actually "tape" tonight's show on my "VCR." Ain't used that piece in months.
The launch of Megway is definitely worthy of note. Pret-ty sneaky, sis.
Also, to continue my recently-developed fragmented writing style (I'll get over it)... I wish I were back in DC for the Dec. 28 Strike Anywhere/Dismemberment Plan show at the new Black Cat in DC. Boy, howdy.
And as I bid you adieu, here's a question for y'all: what car would be the right car for BK, if BK were to... get a car?

That's easy - just add some air-brushed fire down the sides:

Yipes! They actually sell those Corbin car-things at a motorcycle shop near my work (or they used to, at least; haven't seen 'em there in a while). I think I'd like to get something with more than one seat, thanks. Keep 'em coming!

Got tix for the following night's D-Plan show (I don't think Strike Anywhere is on that bill). I'll post a full report.

Don't by a volkswagon. We've had a ton of stupid problems with ours.

As in 'if a woodchuck could chuck wood?' what kind of car if you could have a car car? A Toyota Preius (sp?) or the Honda. Definitely a car with very high miles per gallon. Apparently the Toyota can go from DC to Boston and half way back on one tank. Right now gas is cheap and all the big guys in their big Expeditions are having a ball. Just wait till the novelty wears off and it suddenly costs about $50 just to fill it up to get maybe 11 or 15 miles per gallon. Plus, there's nothing like a tidy car for parking anywhere. If you want to consider investment value, do not buy a new American auto. It costs about $6000 just to sign the registration and drive it off the lot. That's how fast they depreciate. Down the road, let's say you find yourself in a similar situation as several weeks ago. No paycheck. You can sleep soundly knowing that you can easily sell your huge money pit and maybe even eke out an itty biddy profit. That new American car will push you way under. Another consideration, check into a used one still on warrenty. Very wise use of your dollars because you will not have to pay top dollar for insurance either. Then of course there's always the Audi TT.

A car? Oh I get it , one of them there four wheel things with a chair to sit in. Well I guess if you have to get one, get one that you can pay for and one that will get you from A to B and most importantly ...back. Then you can get on your scoot and have some real fun. If you get a pickem-up-truck you can even carry your scoot with ya! ROLL ON!

Wow, what a conundrum. To be honest my heart lies with a VW GTI, but after Matt's comment, I'm more worried.
And after my parents' comments, I'm even MORE worried, but in a different way. ;)

BK, you need a car with serious leg room. Scratch any VWs off the list. What about a Nissan Frontier? It's a pretty rad looking pickup. Or maybe a Subary Forester? 4WD and lots of head room. Good mileage too.

The GTI might be ok - our Jetta stinks, though - the engine is fine, but lots of other problems. Other VW owners report similar annoyances with the new Beetles and Passats. On our car - both the passenger and drivers window mechanisms have been broken, dash board lights burnt out, sun roof broken, driver's lock broken, other minor stuff that adds up to a big nuisance.
