Tough Times

Lazy Sunday today. Lazy Saturday, too, for that matter. I've been geeking out on my site and working on a new design, which I hope to have ready for next month, although I might get sidetracked with moving Deirdre's site in the meantime. I miss her.

I watched a little of the prayer service at Yankee Stadium today. I'm not really a religious person, but it was definitely very moving to see so many people of so many different faiths mourning together. The Sikh's prayer song and the Harlem Boys' and Girls' Club Choir singing "We Shall Overcome" were both quite amazing.

In other news, I'm lighting a candle that this week I get some response from the innumerable resumes that I've been sending out. Hook me up, somebody! I got the skillz! You won't be disappointed!

Pathetic, huh?

Oh, and one other cool thing: there's a kick-ass band from up Chicago/Milwaukee way called Hey Mercedes. Well, on their weblog, guitarist/vocalist Bob Nanna's been running an ambitious day-to-day countdown of his top 365 songs of all time. And, he's recording covers of the top 100, starting today! Good luck, Bob.

Looking forward to the next Band of Brothers episode tonight.
